Greg Eichelberger
Sound Engineer
Greg’s musical journey began early on in his childhood days. He started playing guitar at age 13 and soon realized his love for music and performing would last a lifetime. He formed his first band in 8th grade, and by his Freshman year of High School his band won the talent show at his school. He continued to perform and hone his craft until graduation. Soon after, he was recruited into his first touring rock band.
Greg spent the next 3 years touring the Eastern half of the United States playing up to 300 shows a year, both headlining, as well as opening for national acts on big stages. Greg then made the move to Los Angeles and spent the next 3 years there playing the Sunset Strip. Alas, the “big record deal” never came, so in 1988 Greg moved back to Chicago to pursue new opportunities.
Once back in Sweet Home Chicago, Greg continued to perform with several bands, and recorded numerous albums with them. This led to his new passion for recording. Starting with a 4 track Portastudio, Greg began to hone his craft as a recording engineer and producer. He officially opened his studio, Grevan Studios, in 1998.
Over the next 20 + years, Greg recorded and produced hundreds of recordings for bands and artists at Grevan Studios. In 2022 Greg sold the space that Grevan Studios was in, and transitioned to remote production work.
Greg is excited to manage the recording studio in The Underground, and has a passion and vision to not only continue to produce and engineer, but to teach and train the next generation of producers and engineers moving forward!
